Mr. Sakr has 30 years of business development, product management, sales and marketing experience in banking, prepaid products and financial services.

In 2019, as part of the Sr. Management Team led by Mario Trujillo, Mr. Sakr participated in the search, planning, fundraising and execution of a strategy to sell Money Transfer Acquisition Inc. (MTAI) in a Management-led Buyout to a Sponsor Group of 5 prominent Family Offices on 12/31/19. MTAI processes @ $5 Billion annually in various financial products in 35 US States, Puerto Rico, USVI, Spain and in over 75 countries.

In 2010, as part of the Sr. Management Team led by Mario Trujillo and continuing the 2007 strategy of becoming one of the largest and the best electronic funds transfer companies; Mr. Sakr participated in the search, planning and execution of forming Money Transfer Acquisition Inc. (MTAI) and successfully completed the acquisition of DolEx Dollar Express, Inc. (“DolEx®”) and United Europhil (“Europhil”) in May of 2010. Both DolEx and Europhil are leading money transfer companies operating in the US and Spain markets, primarily serving the Mexico and Latin America corridors. This acquisition was carried out in partnership with Institutional Private Equity Investors, led by Palladium Equity Partners, Prudential, Adams Street Capital and Parish Capital.

Mr. Sakr serves as Senior Vice President, Business Development at DolEx. In this role, Mr. Sakr is responsible for developing new strategic business relationships for DolEx, as well as managing the Company’s Ancillary Services group. DolEx’s ancillary services include installment lending, check cashing, walk-in bill payment, money orders and mobile top-ups.  Prior to the DolEx acquisition, Mr. Sakr joined the Management team that acquired Remesas Quisqueyana, Inc. (RQI®) in 2008, and served as Director, Business Development.

Prior to joining DolEx and RQI, Mr. Sakr was Vice President of Business Development and Product Management at PRE Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of prepaid products and services. Mr. Sakr was responsible for building PRE Solutions’ product portfolio and signing distribution agreements with the top prepaid product providers and financial service companies in the nation. As head of business development and product management, Mr. Sakr was responsible for contract negotiations, strategic alliances, product development, sales training, and relationship management. PRE Solutions, Inc. was acquired by InComm, Inc. in May 2006, and Mr. Sakr continued his VP of Business Development role with InComm, specializing in prepaid content (music downloads, online games, mobile ringtones).

Prior to joining PRE Solutions, Mr. Sakr served as Sales Manager and Vice President, Commercial Card Services with Bank of America (formerly NationsBank). Prior to that, he was Vice President of Business Development in Bank of America’s International Corporate Finance department with geographic responsibility for North America, Western Europe, Far East Asia and Australia.

Mr. Sakr received his Bachelors of Science degree with a double major in Management and Marketing from the University of South Carolina. He also holds a Master’s of International Business Studies degree from the University of South Carolina.
